THE ELTON OIL LIMITED was incorporated in June 2001 and opened its first
service station for business in April 2002. The initial company’s vision
was “To be the leading petroleum distribution company in the Gambia”.
However, whilst the mission remains focused on delivering superior
shareholder returns and operational excellence, management has observed
that our model is most suited for a petroleum marketing and FMCG company.
Elton Gambia after 7 years of operations has established itself as one of
the leading brands in the country both in terms brand familiarity and
preference. It has differentiated itself from the majors and benefited
greatly from its very impressive architecture, focus on Customer Service,
aggressive launch and communications plan. Elton employs directly over
